Frequently Asked Questions:

Can individuals register?
Yes, we welcome individual participants, come join the fun! Register Here.

Do I need to be on a team to participate?
No, many runners and walkers will participate as individuals!

How do I start a team?
It’s easy and it’s free to start a company team. Please click on the Team page for more details.

I already registered as an individual, can I still join a team?
Yes, contact SkipCleaver@comcast.net to have changes made.

Can I run or walk with a baby jogger?
Baby joggers are allowed but we ask that you start your race at the back of the pack.

Can I run with my dog?
NO, we like pets too but please leave your 4-legged friends at home.

Can I reserve a shirt in a certain size?
When you check the box next to a t-shirt size on your registration form, you are not reserving a shirt; you are helping us plan how many shirts we need to order in each size. If it is important that you get a shirt in your size, please come early. Please note that race shirts will not be mailed out; you must pick up your shirt on race day.

Can I get a refund if I register but don’t run?
No. we plan the race based on the number of registered runners, so once you have registered we cannot offer you a refund.

Can I run with headphones or ear buds?
For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones on the course.

What will the weather be like?
The race is in early June, but it is in the evening.. Average temperatures can range from 60 to the mid 70′s. Keep an eye on the forecast and don’t forget to hydrate! The race will take place come rain or shine!

What distance is this race?
The race is 5K (3.1 miles) distance. The course is wheel-measured for accuracy.

Are walkers allowed?
YES! Walkers are very welcomed to our event. All we ask is that you obey the rules of the course and walk no more than two people abreast so that others may pass easily. Walkers will start at the same time as runners but are advised, for safety reasons, to start their race at the back of the pack. Walker times are recorded using the same B-tag sensor as runners.

Will there be bag-check facility?
There is no bag check. Please plan accordingly.

Where is the water stop?
One stop at approximately the halfway point (exact location posted by race day)

Where is the start and how do I get there?
The race starts and finishes at Holman Stadium on Amherst Street near Exit 6 off Route 3 in Nashua, NH.

You can find directions here.

What are the parking accommodations? First, we urge you to consider car-pooling or other alternative transportation. There will be ample parking in the vicinity of the race and within short walking distance.

Can I take a shower after the race?
Yes, but it will have to be at home as there are no facilities available at the race!

Will there be an after-race celebration? Oh, yeah! Runners will enjoy a variety of delicious food and drink items.

Can I view the course before the race?
We prefer that you arrive early and walk or jog the course. With the exception of the Start/Finish area, most of the race course is accessible before the race begins. A course on MapMyRun… (Coming soon!).

Where are the best locations for spectators?
The entire course is spectator-friendly but the best spot would be near the Start-Finish. Spectators are advised to pick their spots early – please do not attempt to drive on the course during the race!

How is the race timed?
Participants will wear a bib number with an electronically-readable chip (B-tag) affixed to the back of the bib number. As runners cross the Finish line they run over a mat with a sensor that recognizes and records each runner’s “chip time”. Bib numbers must be attached to the FRONT of your shirt to be read accurately.

Are there awards?
Yes, awards will be presented to the overall winners and top 3 in 10-year age groups.
You must be present to receive your award. Awards will NOT be mailed.

There will also be awards for corporate teams. Trophies to the top Three Corporate Teams, and special trophies to top teams in total participation, Large Company and Small Company.
